Triptych and Tapestry Surfboards by Boom Art

View all 9 Photos

These artful surfboards were designed by the French skateboard specialists boom-art and made in collaboration with UWL Surfboards. Handmade in France, the impressive designs are produced in a limited edition run of ten. Drawing inspiration from the Middle Ages, the boards represent famous two European artworks: “The Lady and the Unicorn,” a Parisian tapestry of unknown craftsmanship, and “The Garden of Earthly Delights,” a triptych by Hieronymus Bosch of the Netherlands. The Unicorn series translates the image from wool and silk to polyester resin and polyurethane foam, printing intricate details such as the mille-fleur background. Likewise, the Garden series lifts Bosch’s Eden from oil and oak and takes the idea to surf. The amazing boards are available online from boom-art for collector’s prices of $2,362 for a single board and $6,998 for three.
