Unfolding Brick House

The Unfolding House by architect Jae Heon Jeong is made up of a main, gabled volume and a  secondary, flat-roofed volume. The two buildings “unfold” or open up to connect with one another and link both indoor spaces to the courtyards and the mountainside view. The exterior of dark brown brick and zinc panels draws in the eye while retaining a classic appearance fitting of a South Korean country home. Likewise, the interior shines with white walls and polished wooden floors.
