LUXX is a series of “neo-futuristic micro-architectures” by the French artist Samuel Accoceberry. Seemingly gilded in precious metals, the collection projects a utopian vision of the “City of Tomorrow.” In fact, the sculptures are made of steel that has been polished and treated with gold, copper, and dark bronze mirror finishes. The dynamic, 3D elements nod to the ideas and aesthetics of the Superstudio group, an arm of the Italian Radical Architecture movement of the 1960s. From March 26-29, the LUXX Collection will be shown by Galerie Waltman at the Grand Palais for ART PARIS 15.
