Viks, an urban bicycle company operating under Estonian designer Indrek Narusk, celebrated its one year anniversary, or Anniveloversary, the tenth of March of this year. The Anniveloversary bike was designed to commemorate the birth of Narusk’s company with a slightly different spin on the design that started it all. Inspired by the lean, 1950s café racing motorcycles used for quick commute from café to café, the Anniveloversary bike stays true to its roots. Similar to the other models—lightweight, fix-geared, and crafted from stainless steel tubes, the difference is an absence of seat stays making it more bare bones than the original. Thicker tubes were installed to ensure a smooth ride over bumps and potholes. Finally, the paint scheme, a grey finish with black details, is inspired by old fighter planes, a bomber-look leaving it ready to bomb down local city streets.
