In the design of Villa Sapi, David Lombardi manages to combine various different resort experiences into one getaway complex. The villa, a private vacation home in Indonesia, capitalizes on the tropical environment by featuring glass panels to frame the gorgeous sunsets, an underground space tucked away underneath a sloping hill, and multiple pools and wooden decks for full enjoyment of the outdoors. The interiors take on vibrant accents from the furniture, which color the white interiors and natural textures of stone and wood. For practical purposes, the slanted and faceted roof structure channels rainwater but also heightens the grandeur of the villa.
