Weekend House by Kazunari Sakamoto

The Weekend House by Kazunari Sakamoto Architectural Laboratory on Lake Yamanaka is combating earthquake threats with a flexible timber frame. In traditional Japanese design, the walls and windows are a geometric finess combining the horizontal trellis lines with tinted polycarbonate cladding. The space up in the hilltops of Fujiyoshida perpetuates serenity and tranquility. Almost an untouchable escape from the unstoppable course of nature.
