Formerly a butter factory, this West Melbourne loft apartment was transformed by Adrian Amore Architects. Today, the ground floor is open plan, and the white walls on the lofted level curve around like ribbons. Connected by a sculptural stair, the two levels have a strong sense of unity and the grandeur of a museum. The space is accented by sliding doors, which open into rooms and out onto the roof deck, which nicely contrasts with the interior, shining in black metal.
