Winnie is a sweet lighting concept by Nikolo Kerimov, the Finland-based designer of Shelfie. Inspired by Winnie the Pooh, a favorite design reference (see: the Pooh tables by Nendo), the lamp is an interpretation of the character’s favorite prop: honey pots. Kerimov’s lamps are crafted from white ceramic and plugged with natural cork, in the same spirit as the Armstrong Light Trap lamp by Constantin Bolimond. Similarly, the cork elements can be removed to alter the ambience. Yet, the Winnie is distinct with its honey-slick lacquer, beehive curves, and suspension from a bright red or yellow cord. Like it’s namesake cartoon, the design is an animal all it’s own.
