Wood Ring Bench by Chris Kabel

The Wood Ring Bench is certainly a unique form of seating – it can bring a pleasant interaction between others to truly understand and intercept the surrounding environment through its circular design. The bench was created by Rotterdam-based designer Chris Kabel and is made up of 100 trapezium-shaped pieces that are held together with a metal strap. It’s origin began from a long journey. It was first a long piece of Oregon pine wood that was left in a river for a year to cleanse out its wooden acids. Then it was dried in the Netherlands for two years and then finished in a transparent varnish.
