Almost every kid is familiar with the bright primary colors of Legos, the plastic clink of the pieces falling into a pile, and the eight button-like pegs on the rectangular block’s surface. Mokulock, a Japanese company, has explored the other end of the spectrum with their wooden blocks. The form of these blocks mimics that of Legos, but the wooden pieces bring an environmentally conscious message. Each block, in its natural color without artificial paint, is biodegradable and speaks the importance of sustainability. As an extra plus, the wood grain creates a more exciting tactile experience for the young engineers who test the limits of physics with the classic toy.
