Section Hanging is a contemporary wunderkammer created by the Brooklynite designer Marco Lafiandra for the Trento-based studio .ex novo. Loosely inspired by Renaissance-era “cabinets of curiosities,” the 3D-printed lighting design is opened up to “the world all around” via a myriad of little “windows” in the lampshade. The semicircular, deconstructed pendant lamp lets curiosity out of the cabinet, bringing mystery to any room. Soft and atmospheric, the lighting design is made of a sintered polyamide diffuser and cap, plus a bronzed stainless steel reflective surface. The lampshade comes in white and hangs from a black or green cord. The design is intended for use with LEDs, and the price is available from .exnovo upon request.
