28D Table Lamp by Omer Arbel

Falling out of orbit from the celestial cluster of glass lights in Series 28 Chandelier emerges 28D Table Lamp, a glass-blown sculpture from designer Omer Arbel. The lamp itself represents a cosmic system of sorts, with an outer glass sphere encasing smaller satellites, one of which is milky-white and emits the glow from a xenon bulb. The inner spheres are crafted by forcing air into the larger form during the glass-blowing process, and the beauty of the many layers of glass is out of this world. Though ethereal, 28D is tethered to Earth by its grey crochet memory cord, which can be coiled and molded to serve as a base for Arbel’s heavenly creation.
