A Fly Table by NAB

Brussels-based design studio NAB is a place where “spontaneity rigor, and pleasure [take] an important place in the creative process.” This is evident in their latest work, ODO – a simple side table constructed from powder-coated steel and solid ash. Named for the “Odonata” (otherwise known as a dragonfly), the curvilinear structure imitates nature’s design through its elegant form; a beautifully bent steel table top alludes to the insect’s sweeping wing, while angled wooden legs give the seemingly weightless upper a sense of gravity. Just like the migratory dragonfly, ODO weaves seamlessly between interior and exterior, from space to space. Bright red provides a stunning contrast to the pale wood, an accurate reflection of the dragonfly’s brilliant presence in its natural setting.
