A Smarter Bike Trolley by Sentier

Despite its numerous advantages, bike travel is often dismissed as impractical, cumbersome, and/or inconvenient. Anyone who has tried to travel long distance on or with a bike knows just how costly and complex the process can be; existing storage solutions often involve elaborate modifications with extremely limited potential carrying capacity. But thanks to Italian outdoor brand Sentier Adventure Gear, travelling by bike has never been easier. Their Bike Trolley (live on kickstarter until June 24) combines trailer and bag into a single unit; a seamless duffel made from ripstop Nylon and PU sits in a wheeled carriage that can be easily attached to the back wheel of any bike from road to mountain as long as there is a quick-release skewer.

The best part? Once detached, the clever bag becomes a normal piece of wheeled luggage small enough to be checked on any airplane – though there are also handles are attached at either side. Rather than carry four panniers (which might only hold about 25 kg total), the Sentier bike trolley can carry up to 40 kg in a single load. A considerate use of green materials makes it weather – resistant while a single 16” wheel makes for easy maneuverability and a more aerodynamic riding experience. Its immense strength remains disguised by the trolley’s compact form and incredibly light weight; at just under 7 kg, the trailer offers incredible efficiency for it size.
