The recently launched adidas N-5923 runner perfectly exemplifies the popular brand’s penchant for paying homage to vintage designs in creative ways. Back in September, we wrote about a stunning collection that reimagined three iconic silhouettes. Now, we’re happy to introduce a new take on the 1970s runners: N-5923. Inspired by retro styles, the runner features classic white serrated stripes as well as cross-stitch details. The adidas logo appears on the heel tabs and tongue, while design’s name adorns the upper in a contrasting color.
To add a contemporary design touch, the brand used a breathable mesh fabric with welded overlays. A heel cage that reminds of leather completes the look. An EVA midsole also provides lightweight cushioning for extra comfort. Available from December 13, the N-5923 runner comes in several ‘70s style color schemes. These include the classic core white and core black as well as chalk blue, burgundy, or pink. Photographs© adidas.
