Founded in 1972, the Dainese Group is a world leader in motorcycling equipment and protection apparel for a wide variety of dynamic sports. The company owns three well-known brands, Dainese, AGV, and TCX. Specializing in motorcycle helmets, AGV produces cutting-edge designs that keep innovation, safety and function in perfect balance. The new AGV Tourmodular helmet combines ergonomics and comfort with an integrated DMC system. Specially designed for touring, the helmet allows the user to add the compatible DMC wireless communication system. Available separately, it integrates into the product’s design seamlessly.
The most advanced wireless communication system for motorcycle riders, the DMC Dynamic Mesh Communication technology works with the AGV Insyde intercom system to allow up to 15 riders to communicate at the same time. Apart from network stability, this tech feature also provides optimal audio quality over distances of 6 km or 3.7 miles.
The helmet has a lightweight but extremely tough and durable build that combines carbon fiber, aramid fiber, and fiberglass. Several details ensure optimal comfort while riding. Among them, the metal visor mechanism that maximizes both the protection surface and the field of vision. Rated to class I, the visor is up to 4mm in thickness, which is twice the average. On the inside, Tourmodular has moisture-absorbing fabrics as well as a water-repellent band of synthetic leather that keeps the interior dry even in heavy rain conditions.
The AGV Micro-opening system with four vents allows the rider to keep the visor open for optimal airflow and adjust ventilation as needed. Thanks to its aerodynamic design, the helmet also minimizes turbulence. Other features include a chin guard opening system that prevents accidental opening and a collarbone-safe profile. Finally, the AGV Tourmodular has received the ECE 2206 homologation. Available now in stores and AGV’s online shop, this motorcycle helmet comes in nine colorways and in XS-XXL sizes. The AGV Insyde communication system is sold separately and will be available from Fall 2022. Photographs © AGV.
