Arianna Lamp by Baldessari e Baldessari - Gessato

Arianna Lamp by Baldessari e Baldessari

Oh the trouble love can weave, faithfulness torn by other lust.  The Greek mythology of Arianna, or Ariadne, whose name means “most holy” was given charge over the labyrinths by her father, Minos king of Crete.  Her character also known for weaving threads, tosses her soulmate a ball of yarn to assist his turmoil within the labyrinth.
The accordion design in the Arianna Lamp takes its identity from the useful yarn swift.  Create the look that best suits you, extending or tightening the shape with a gentle touch.  Adding yarn around the ribs can enhance the style once more.  The loose sculpture centers itself around a firm modern rod with the bulb at the furthest end, hung from the ceiling casting delicate shadows.  Made of romantic cherry wood for Pallucco by the Italian design studio Baldessari e Baldessari.
