French designer François Bauchet has a passion for exploring materials and form in his work. Following on the footsteps of the “Cellae” collection, which featured resin-soaked felt, the designer created a new range of furniture for Paris-based Galerie Kreo using an innovative material. Named “Azo”, the collection features a composite material that contains sand, resin, and concrete. This mineral composite has a smooth surface with subtle textures and comes in light gray or vibrant brick red. Throughout the collection, clean lines and minimalist volumes combine with bold curves.
A clover-shaped element connects all of the pieces of furniture, whether as a horizontal or a vertical element which supports a flat surface. Various tops, in different shapes and sizes, complete the designs. The range includes side tables, tables, benches, and consoles. All boast the same distinct aesthetic which brings together organic shapes and simple forms in perfectly balanced compositions. Sculptural and refined, the designs look at home in modern interiors, where they become focal points as well as conversation starters.
