Minimalism and natural elegance at its finest, the Basoa table by Silvia Ceñal illustrates the power of simplicity. Like many of the designer’s products, Basoa blends refinement and creativity while giving a nod to nature. The beautiful table has a timeless and versatile aesthetic which ensures that it blends into any interior with style. Inspired by pine forests from the region of Les Landes of southwestern France, it also takes its name from the Basque word for “forest”, accentuating the link to nature.
But the detail that makes it unlike other tables lies just under the surface, at the joint between the leg and the stretcher. This creative connection is not only eye-catching, but also references intersecting tree branches in a subtle and refined way. Created for Spanish company Treku, Basoa made its grand entrance this year at Maison & Objet in Paris and IMM Cologne. Images courtesy of Silvia Ceñal.
