Born in San Sebastian, Silvia Ceñal studied Technical Engineering at the University of Basque Country before traveling to Groningen in Netherlands and Florence in Italy to extend her design knowledge. Back in Spain, she continued her studies at IED in Madrid and worked at the Stone Designs Studio. In 2015, Silvia Ceñal returned to her hometown to open her eponymous studio. Since then, she has collaborated with numerous European brands, creating furniture and lighting for Emko, Bosc, Treku, and Massmi, among others. Ceñal’s work combines minimalism, playfulness and warmth with vibrant colors and neutral tones inspired by nature. Her products have been exhibited at international design events, including at Salone del Mobile Fair in Milan, Maison & Objet in Paris, ICFF Fair in New York, and May Design Fair in London.
