Designed by Josh Bechtel of Bellingham, Washington, the Bicymple is a minimalist bike with no chain. The shortened bike is balanced to the point that it is almost perfectly symmetrical, conserving resources while riding comfortably. The rear-steer option gives one the additional choice of “crab-riding” with a little twist. More than just a conversation starter and a fun play on words, the Bicymple’s innovative design brings one back to the childhood enjoyment of riding a bike that can go almost anywhere. The lightweight CroMo Steel frame allows the bike to be carried, and the small shape allows for crowd-maneuvering and easy storage. Successfully funded on Kickstarter, the Bicymple is now available for pre-order.
