Branch Stool

This branch stool is the product of collaboration between furniture architects schindlersalmerón and carpenter Martin Bereuter. Based on a sketch from schindlersalmerón co-founder Chrisoph Schindler’s dissertation, the stool rests on three forked legs. The stool is strong due to the angle of the branches and the complex internal fibre orientation of the timber, which was hand-harvested from the Uetliberg City Forest of Zurich. To top it off, the seat is made of medium-density fibreboard and coated with a white powder finish. On its underside, the design is stamped with schindlersalmerón’s seal in red wax. Interested collectors should act quickly; Schindler and Bereuter crafted just fifteen of these organic yet sleek statement pieces.
