C Penthouse By Vincent van Duysen

The C Penthouse, much like all of the residential interiors designed by Vincent van Duysen, seems to effortlessly find the soul of the quintessential home. Simple and pure; welcoming and warm; refined yet organic. Designed as an ‘urban loft’, the dwelling features wide, open spaces that flow into one another. Distinctive and elegant, the Antwerp apartment takes inspiration from Georges Vantongerloo’s abstract artwork, with its design also complementing the owner’s art collection.

Even at a glance, C Penthouse is clearly a Vincent van Duysen home. The décor stimulates the senses with an array of textures and carefully selected natural materials. References to historical warehouses as well as urban architectural elements blend throughout the interior. But despite the muted brown colors and cool gray tones, the apartment emanates warmth and a sense of serenity. Organic wood reminiscent of driftwood softens the brutalist concrete surfaces in a visual symphony where every line, texture, material and hue has its specific purpose. Artworks take their place on the walls, adding the perfect finishing touch to a penthouse full of character. Photography by Koen Van Damme.
