Cardboard Furniture and Projects is an eco-friendly venture by Spanish designers Inma León Leyva and Pablo Ferrer. As the name suggests, the studio produces furniture and decor exclusively from cardboard, Re-board and D-board to be precise. Their choice material is strong, thanks to its sandwich construction, and also rather sustainable. The plant material itself is renewable and non-toxic, like the water-based adhesives and ink used to secure and decorate the designs. At the end of their life, the furnishings can be reused in smaller paper projects or recycled at any standard facility. In the meantime, the items are lightweight and foldable, making Cardboard Furniture and Projects a choice brand for students and other people on the go. The easy-to-move furniture line currently includes storage, shelving, tables, desks, chairs, a divider, and a headboard. Each piece contrasts the smooth surface of the sides with its rustic, Kraft-like edges, which resemble wood grain from a distance. The sides are readily customizable. Even the studio models come in a range of styles, from optic white to colorblocked to ombre, and, of course, one can always further personalize the design with DIY embellishments.
