This residential building designed by Coleman-Davis Pagan Arquitectos located in San Juan, Puerto Rico includes snug spaces that’s interconnected with a linear staircase where views of the adjacent beach can charm residents. It features an interesting terracotta-tinted facade that looks similar to the texture of a cork under a magnifier. This facade has three flights of stairs with skylights and framed windows that saturate the interior with soft glows of natural daylight. The building is heightened from ground level to maintain residential privacy while also protecting against hurricanes and storm surges. A photo-voltaic paneled pergola rims the roof deck to generate most of the consumed energy and to provide ample shade.
