CD Pool House

Stylish and minimalist, the CD Pool House has a striking appearance that stands out against the natural backdrop provided by tall tress and vegetation. This modern pool house was designed by the Marc Merckx architecture and design practice. It offers the perfect relaxation space for the owners and adds a refined accent to their property, which is located in Stekene, Belgium. The dark façade is made of darkened wood and features glass sliding doors and a metal trellis. The minimal color palette is maintained inside, where black timber, gray concrete, and light brown wooden furniture boasting clean lines create a sophisticated atmosphere. The bespoke outdoor furnishings have a black finish that matches the cladding. Subtly referencing an ancient Roman bath, the green tiles add a touch of contrast and color to the outdoor space. The smooth surface of the water enhances the visual impact of the structure by perfectly reflecting its dark beauty, surrounded by green giants. Images courtesy of Marc Merckx.
