Cerco Espresso Cup By Kutarq Studio for OTHR

Good design can make simple objects look intriguing. Or even sculptural. Case in point: the Cerco Espresso Cup. Designed by Valencia-based Kutarq Studio for OTHR, the cup features a distinctive aesthetic. The looping handle “hugs” the cup, referencing body art and piercings while also providing a perfect grip. Eye-catching and minimalist as well as creative and modern, the design aims to bring a touch of whimsy to the morning coffee-drinking ritual. Crafted in 3D printed porcelain, the numbered cups come with a certificate of authenticity.

More than just a practical, everyday item, Cerco becomes a true décor piece and design statement. So it comes as no surprise to learn that Kutarq Studio’s founder, architect and designer Jordi López Aguiló, has exhibited his work internationally, including at Paris Maison & Objet, Paris Design Week, Milan Design Week, and Stockholm Furniture Fair, among many others. Coffee and design lovers can order the cup on the OTHR website for $85. But keep in mind that each cup is made to order and individually crafted, with shipping times ranging from two to three weeks.
