Some watches take inspiration from the past while others look towards the future. The new Vektor Watch from independent brand Defakto successfully blends both approaches in a minimalist design. The unisex timepiece provides a “retro-futuristic” take on the traditional wristwatch as well as a purist interpretation of a classic design. The face boasts a convex dial and hand-bent hands. Thin markings give the watch an elegant look, while minimal branding maintains its refined simplicity.
Made with a 39mm stainless steel case that measures only 6.8mm in height, the watches also feature a blend of polished and brushed surfaces. They timepieces come with an anti-reflective plexiglass cover, a Japanese Miyota 9015 automatic movement and a 42-hour power reserve. Customers can choose between two versions: black with red hands or white with black hands. Both have a premium quality black leather strap. All Defakto timepieces are made in a family-owned factory in Pforzheim, Germany. You can find Vektor on the brand’s website, at a price of around $730. The company offers customization services as well a worldwide shipping. Images courtesy of Defakto Watches.
