Cornelia Konrads

Cornelia Konrads has enchanted forests with her art collection. Her talent renders objects in a creative fashion that truly is unique. A home suffocates like a sinking ship, yet a tree grows strong and steady out the exposed roof.  Stone walls used as a property line seem to loose position half way through, as their stones unhinge and get swept away. Structures that typically stand secure to the ground are presented curled and pliable.

Her pieces tend to appear in a fluttering state, like a deck of cards being shuffled then freeze frame their motion. Others seem to be mysteriously floating into thin air, similar to a disappearing act. Either way, they leave us speechless and wanting more.

She has carefully chosen locations across the globe to stage the sculptures perfectly. They parade through nature’s order with charisma and reckless abandonment, encouraging a contemplative audience to turn playful, maybe even childlike. Allow yourself to be caught by their spirit of youth.
