The Cortland Bookshelf By Atelier d’Amis

A minimalist design that draws inspiration from urban landscapes.

Part of the Laisse Béton furniture collection that draws inspiration from the urban landscape of NYC and its construction sites, the Cortland bookshelf blends both refined and industrial details. Designed by Atelier d’ Amis co-founders Sébastien Léon and Valérie Pasquiou, the minimalist design re-imagines industrial elements as sophisticated components of high-end furniture. Like the tables and wardrobe from the collection, the Cortland bookshelf features a carefully chosen mix of materials. Apart from the tubular frame made of metal, the design also boasts metal mesh panels and hand-applied concrete impasto shelving.

Atelier d’ Amis offers the bookshelf in various color and finish combinations. For example, customers can choose between brass, nickel, brushed steel, or chrome colors for the metal frame and panels. Matte, polished, brushed, or reflective surface treatments are also available. Plus, the concrete shelving comes in light, medium, dark, or black hues. All of these shelf color options feature an anti-stain finish to keep the bookshelf unit looking like new for longer. Finally, like other products from the brand, the Cortland bookshelf is expertly handmade in Italy by skilled artisans. Every product comes with a date, number, and a certificate of authenticity.
