Craftmotif, A Pen Inspired By Vintage Aircraft Designs

A creative pen that draws inspiration from retro aircraft designs.

After designing the pocket-size Rollbe measuring tool that provided a practical way to measure just about anything with a rolling disc design, Karlis Krisjans looked to the past for inspiration for his next project. Named Craftmotif™, this creative pen draws inspiration from vintage airplanes for its distinctive design. The retro, one-of-a-kind look of the writing tool ensures that it will become a conversation starter, but this pen is also crafted to last for decades. It blends traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. The pen features a precision-machined body made from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum as well as hand-applied details. Inside, there’s a soft-twist mechanism with a rechargeable cartridge. The pen comes with a set of five black or blue cartridges, but it works with standard Schmidt D1 refills.

Streamlined and perfectly balanced, the pen is as enjoyable to use as it is to admire. Grooves enhance grip while also adding a subtle pattern to the silver gray aluminum body. The Craftmotif pen also comes with a magnetic stainless steel stand that allows the user to keep it on display in an elegant way. A leather case provides a stylish solution to take the pen with you anywhere and keep it protected at the same time. The pen comes in three versions: Polished/Yellow, Tumbled/Red, and Brushed/Blue. Each version has a specially chosen surface finishing and an enamel-plated color detail on the retro-style roundels.
