London-based studio Barber Osgerby was founded by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby in 1996. The studio’s work encompasses a wide range of disciplines, from architecture and interiors to product design and exhibition design. Using an experimental and innovative approach to design, the designers complete projects that explore materiality and color while also showing a distinct affinity with fine art. In 2013, Barber and Osgerby were appointed to the Order of the British Empire for services to the design industry. They have received many prestigious design awards, from the iF Design Award and Red Dot Award to the ADI Compasso d’Oro Award. The designers’ work has been included in the permanent collections of the V&A in London, the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago, among others. In 2017, Phaidon published “Barber Osgerby, Projects”, a monograph of the studio’s first 20 years of practice.
