Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Jahara studied industrial design at Brasilia University, before moving to Italy for a stint at Venice University of Architecture and two years at Fabrica. This education, mixed with his own “chaotic input of Brazilian design” provides a distinct and multicultural mix of flavors in the Jahara Studio brand already. “I believe in this mix, where I can design something that communicates to people all over the world,” he says. European-trained, Rio de Janeiro based designer Brunno Jahara is an energetic champion of a fresh new Brazilian design scene. With bright and beautiful products and furniture that speak of Brazil in an international language, he is helping hist vast and multicultural country to build its own design identities a place of abundant resources, innovation and craftsmanship.
