Architecture firm mar plus ask was co-founded in 2015 by Spanish architect Mar Vicens and Danish architect Ask Anker Aistrup. Originally based in Berlin, the studio now operates between Copenhagen, Berlin, Mallorca, and Valencia. The two founders draw inspiration from their Mediterranean and Scandinavian roots to design contemporary dwellings and public spaces that also celebrate the history and character of a particular place. Timeless and minimalist, their architectural projects showcase the duo’s masterful use of natural materials. At the same time, contemporary interiors welcome nature inside, whether visually via glazed walls and windows that frame the landscape or physically – the latter in a retreat built within a rock formation in Mallorca. The founders also focus on sustainability and eco-friendly building practices, implementing green solutions throughout their projects.
