Marco Lavit

Paris, France

Marco Lavit was born in 1986. He studied architecture at both Ecole Speciale d’Architecture in Paris and at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne. Working at the studio of architect and designer Riccardo Blumer and then at LAN Architecture allowed Lavit to refine his skills and explore his design sensibilities as well as his attention for detail. Lavit co-founded his own architecture and design studio along with Carlo Lavit in 2014. Based in Paris, Atelier LAVIT promotes Italian craftsmanship through its wide range of projects. Apart from solid wood, the studio also integrates other premium materials into its furniture and product designs, including leather, iron, glass, or brass. The practice’s portfolio includes the well-known Venezia lounge chair, which was exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale and at Centre Pompidou, and the exclusive Origin tree house designed for the Park of Raray Castle, France. Marco Lavit has been included on the “Rising Talent Awards” list for Maison & Objet Paris 2018.
