Product Design
Born in Belgium in 1990, Quentin de Coster studied industrial design at the ESA St-Luc Liège, Politecnico di Milano and ENSAV La Cambre. After graduating in 2014, he set up his own business during the same year. Liège based, Quentin de Coster – Design Studio is a polyvalent office focusing on the design of products, limited editions, installations and providing art direction services for international clients. Since its inception, the studio develops a unique design approach characterized by a continuous observation of peoples habits and rituals translated into projects that go beyond a mere functional definition. Simple, accessible, authentic and playful, its designs help audiences to furnish their lives with meaningful details. Daily common gestures and needs become desirable moments of existence. As Head of Design, Quentin strongly believes in design as an experience, as a balanced interplay of function and aesthetics, logics and emotions, industrial codes and storytelling. An experience which is intimate and shareable at the same time. Shapes that are sober, logic and expressive; materials that are respected in their physical and tactile qualities; functions that are unexpected and ingenious. Quentin de Coster – Design Studio is definitely aiming at making life a better place to live and evolve, whether creating industrial or luxury goods, limited editions or mass-produced items.
