RAAK Design

Founded in 2015 by Kasper De Backer and Robrecht Lambrechts, the Raak multidisciplinary design studio showcases the two designers’ distinctive approach to design. After studying industrial product design together, at the University college of West-Flanders, the designers explored their creativity on different paths. Kasper De Backer worked with an acclaimed studio in London, while Robrecht Lambrechts moved for a period of time to NYC to work with a Manhattan-based design studio. Raak brings together the designers’ experience and dedication to create contemporary products that blend craftsmanship and modern technology. All of the studio’s projects feature an exploration of materials, textures, and volumes. Functional and elegantly simple, the products marry artisanal techniques with a minimalist aesthetic.
