Timothee Mercier

Born in France, architect and designer Timothee Mercier studied in the US before moving to London, UK. After completing his studies at Haverford College in Pennsylvania and Columbia University in New York, he worked at prestigious architecture firms in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Hong Kong. In 2017, Timothee Mercier opened his own practice, Extra Medium. Based in research and craft, the studio’s approach to design also focuses on the specific qualities of a project’s context. For example, the MA house completed in 2019 features a minimalist take on the modern farmhouse aesthetic inspired by vernacular architecture in the south of France. The architect specializes in architecture and interior design as well as urban planning and development.
