NEMESTUDIO is a San Francisco Bay Area practice led by architect-researcher Neyran Turan that treats drawings, models, and built fragments as measures of planetary space. Work ranges from speculative cartographies to interiors and large-format installations, earning honors such as Architectural Record’s Design Vanguard and the Architectural League of New York Prize, and appearing at the Venice and Seoul Biennales, Storefront for Art and Architecture, Yerba Buena Center, and Aedes, among others. Turan, an Associate Professor at UC Berkeley and founding editor of New Geographies, distilled the studio’s agenda in her Graham Foundation-supported book Architecture as Measure and as curator of Turkey’s pavilion at the 2021 Venice Biennale.
