Pasparakis Friel is an architecture and interiors studio on the Donegal coast, founded in 2018 by Sosie Pasparakis and Ronan Friel. Working from Rathmullan, the practice moves between houses, conservation, interiors, and town-centre regeneration.
Projects begin with listening—clients, site, and climate—then develop through clear plans, well-judged daylight, and close collaboration with makers. Existing fabric is reused where possible; new work favors robust, repairable materials and straightforward details that age well. The aim is practical space with a strong sense of place: kitchens and bathrooms planned as part of the whole, joinery that carries daily use, and thresholds that connect rooms to garden, street, or shore.
The studio’s architecture stays quiet on purpose—tactile and responsive rather than showy—so buildings sit comfortably in landscape and everyday life, from historic refurbishments to new coastal homes.
