Studio Didea

Palermo, Italy

With teams in Palermo and Malta, Studio Didea handles architecture and interiors for homes, shops, workspaces, and hotels. Each brief starts with a stripped-down concept sketch—what the space could feel like if light, proportion, and circulation do the talking. From there the studio maps material palettes, writes exacting construction sets, and pairs local craftspeople with high-performance suppliers to keep the build true to the idea.

Mediterranean principles guide much of the work: porous limestone walls that breathe, internal courtyards that temper heat, terraces angled for sea breezes. The aim is practical comfort first, environmental responsibility as its natural outcome. Recent projects layer photovoltaic canopies over roof gardens, specify reclaimed stone, and track energy use long after hand-over. Throughout, clients stay in the loop, with weekly site walks and open-model reviews that turn design decisions into shared knowledge rather than top-down directives.

Studio Didea sees tomorrow’s architecture as an ordinary extension of today’s ecology—spaces that sit easily into climate and history, ready to age beside them.
