Eco Furniture: Pentatonic’s Innovative Furniture And Glassware Collection

Using recycled materials to make new products has become more widespread over the past few years. Start-up Pentatonic takes things up a level – or two – with its first collection of eco furniture. Made of not only plastic, but general everyday consumer waste, the chairs, tables, and glassware provide the perfect solution to transform trash into functional items. The products feature materials that range from smartphone screens to cans and even cigarette butts and textile waste.

To make the collection, the company’s co-founders Jamie Hall and Johann Boedecker used a custom injection-molding system as well as a number of state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. The result? Modern and stylish furniture that boasts 100% recycled materials and also comes with a convenient assembly system. Every component aids the construction of the chairs and tables, eliminating the need for extra tools or glue.

The collection includes the indoor/outdoor Airtool Chair that features various colors, seat materials, as well as textures; the Airtool Foil Table – available in light neutral or vibrant colors; the smartphone screens glasses and bowl, all boasting a smoky black tone. Easily adaptable, the furniture also allows the user to install the chairs and tables at different heights and angles.
