Graphic Time By Raw Color

During this year’s Dutch Design Week, Vij5 launched 10 designs in 10 weeks, with Graphic Time finishing up the event in style. Designed by the Eindhoven-based Raw Color studio, the wall clock provides a graphical take on the functional object while also offering a creative solution to track the passage of time. The kinetic sculpture features three colored half-circle discs that represent the hours, minutes, and seconds. Their constant movement not only translates the current time in an abstract composition that looks like a work of art, but also changes the appearance of the clock. Perforated to reduce the timepiece’s weight, the discs give the Graphic Time a subtle industrial vibe which complements its artistic design.

While currently in development, the abstract wall clock is available to pre-order from the Vij5 website. For now, you can select between nude/lagoon/pine or slate/sky/aubergine colorways. Graphic Time made its debut as part of the ‘10 products in 10 weeks’ event, appearing not only at the Dutch Design Week, but also at Maison & Objet in Paris, and at the London Design Fair.
