Hemisphere Pendant Planter

A new design in a range of minimalist pendant light planters.

Toronto-based studio Object/Interface has a penchant for giving creative twists to classic concepts. Apart from the expertly crafted shelving system that adapts to the needs of the user, or the multifunctional table that has a built-in storage/display space, the brand also created a range of interactive pendant lights which also includes an award winning product, the Babylon Light. The latest addition to the range, the Hemisphere Pendant Planter adds another stylistic dimension to the original concept. Just as elegant and eye-catching, the chandelier flower planter has a minimalist, mid-century design-inspired aesthetic.

Suspended from a brass stem, the fixture creates a fulcrum, while the diffuser anchors the lower section and balances the whole unit when adding plants. The upper section features a six inch diameter bowl that offers a convenient space for upright plants or cascading vines. A G9 lamp holder works with halogen as well as LED lights. Finally, the opal glass diffuser softens the light to create a comfortable and intimate atmosphere. Premium materials complement the expert craftsmanship of the chandelier flower planter: aluminum with a gloss white finish, stainless steel, opal glass, and brass with an unfinished surface which will patina over time. The design blends in well in modern interiors, whether it’s a bedroom or busy coffee shop. Proudly designed and made in Canada, the Hemisphere Pendant Planter is currently available to pre-order on the brand’s website. Shipping starts in April, 2018. Images courtesy of Object/Interface.
