Architecture, Italians do it better

Historic Home Renovated in Treviso, Italy

View all 8 Photos

Massimo Galeotti Architetto renovated this historic home in Treviso, Italy. They exposed and recovered the original wooden beams, which had been covered by previous renovations. Additionally, they brought in new windows, enhancing the views of St. Ambrogio Church and the surrounding harbor. They also installed a new, timber volume, a radical yet minimalist change to the architecture. Ultimately, their updates blend contemporary and historical aesthetics, bringing the two together in a celebration of texture, space, and muted shades of brown.
