The Horae Customizable Watch Collection

Reviving the art of traditional watchmaking.

Friends Shane Leong and Aaron Choo founded Horae in 2015 with the goal to bring the art of watchmaking to life in modern timepieces. With a background in architecture and engineering, the duo had a particular fondness for instruments and how things work, as well as a shared desire to shake up the industry by looking into the past. After more than two years of passion-driven work, the Singapore-based brand created its first collection of watches. Designed with a vintage-inspired aesthetic but a contemporary style, the Horae watches marry tradition and the modern lifestyle in products that make no quality or craftsmanship compromises. And all this at an affordable price.

The four timepieces from the collection are customizable. Thus, they remind the user of traditional watchmaking while also helping to give each timepiece a personal touch. Customers can select the case and dial, as well as hands, indices, and straps. The watches integrate a range of classic features, from the triple-calendar moonphase to the chronograph. The Two Hander model is the most minimalist of the bunch; it boasts a clean dial and a sunburst finish. More elaborate but just as stylish, Complete Calendar displays the day, date, and month along with the moon phases. Chronograph has an elegant dial with contrasting finishes, while Automatic comes with a sapphire crystal cover that enhances its durability and shatter-resistance.

For all of these designs, the company offers a selection of straps. Both the full-grain Italian calf leather and the double woven Perlon straps come in different colors, expanding the customization options further. Horae launched the first wristwatch collection on Kickstarter. The prices start from just $93 and go up to $263, while the future retail prices will range from $125-$325. The campaign lasts until March 7, 2018. Photographs© Horae Watch Company.
