Dining in a restaurant is a holistic experience. It is a symphonic harmony of the overall ambience, interior details, and of course, the cuisine. Höst, opened by restaurateurs Cofoco, specializes in New Nordic cuisine and its creation is backed by an overall vision of homey rusticity with a modern touch. Designers from Norm Architects and Danish firm Menu created an ascetic interior of wooden tables, stucco walls, and vintage lamps; yet, the restaurant warmly welcomes with its textural complexity – as evident in the motley collection of dinnerware – and delicate accents including potted greens and wool blankets. The floor and walls are worn with age, but in a way that embraces the diner into a familiar air of comfort, easy company, and good food.
