Oru Kayak

Oru Kayak introduces a new dimension to kayak design, as it easily folds from a fully functional kayak into a flat-packed carry-on with a size akin to that of an artist portfolio case. Known as the origami kayak, the white and orange kayak has a structure reinforced by plastic ribs and is covered by a pre-creased origami skin. Though questions about durability may cast doubts on the design, the folding skin has only one seam that sits above the waterline, and the material is manufacture-rated for over 20,000 folds. Convenience and efficiency remain high priorities, and the folded shape also allows room for a life vest, paddle, and other kayaking accessories.
