Interior Transformation: From Shed to Changing Room

Even a little vision can transform a wasted space into a personal retreat. This small building, for instance, was once an old, out-of-use shed. But the Barcelona-based creative Clara Nubiola saw potential in it and redesigned the existing structure as a changing room and bathroom. She took boards off the windows, restored the walls with local bricks and stone, and installed a shower behind the metal sliding barn door. The rustic design offers a functional, low maintenance retreat for when the residents are working in the garden, coming in from the backyard pool, or just wanting a retreat from the house. Moreover, the project is an inspiring take on making the most of one’s surroundings.
