Automotive fans have a great reason to visit UK this September. Jaguar Land Rover recently opened the Classic Works warehouse, showroom, and workshop in Coventry, the largest facility of its kind in the world. The 150,000 sq ft building houses a showroom space as well as 54 workshop bays for repairing and restoring automotive gems. The workshops include zones for the Land Rover Series I, Range Rover Classic, and Jaguar E-type Reborn; places where even “out of production” models can go through an authentic restoration process.
Inside Classic Works there’s also a Jaguar Land Rover Classic Collection with 500 vehicles which are available for loan to museums or car clubs, as well as a many treats for automotive enthusiasts, including the rare XJ220 supercar. And as a special bonus, 1988 Jaguar Le Mans winner Andy Wallace will road test all Jaguar Classic-built Legends cars before they reach their new owners. If you want to visit Classic Works, keep in mind that guided tours will be available from September 2017, at a price of around $60 per ticket. It seems like Christmas comes early this year.
